Using Antique Primitives in the Garden
Decorating you garden can be as much fun as your indoor living space. This vintage cast iron pump will be a nice vertical focal point and the white shabby chic finish will be a great contrast from the green shadesof summer.
Your lawn and garden decor can be much more interesting when add a garden statue or even a country antique.
Did you Know that moving water does not freeze?
For many years I have had 3 fish ponds in my flower gardens so keeping them going through the winter sometimes is a challenge.
This year I just did not take care of the fish ponds like I should have. I normally unhook the cast iron water fountains
to have the water pumps blasting water against the side of the pond to keep open water for the fish to have oxygen.
I have this large spitting frog that recycles a stream of water into my fish pond. Since I did not unhook it my water splattering in the freezing weather it made a huge mound of ice that looked like a volcano. The stream of moving water kept a hole in the center open and did not freeze. Probably not the best thing but it sure made an interesting ice sculpture on my pond using a garden fountian.
Cast Iron Cassandra Urns are a Versatile Planter
The 30″ tall Cassandra urn works great on a homeowner’s porch or patio. It is a large heavy planter that will become a mainstay of your outdoor landscape.
It is also a traditional and imposing urn that has been used by several historic districts and main street communities to line the streets of a shopping district. Whether you need two garden urns for your home or fifty cast iron flower planters for your neighborhood improvement project A Rustic Garden has the inventory and selection to meet your needs.
This Lady Has Style
This garden statue is very large. She is so pretty and would be beautiful in front of my 1848 federal home.
This cast iron lady is about 15 years old and has a rusty finish. If she does not sell soon I just might take her home.
